On May 1st, 2006 Elijah Mothershed was Caught on Video being assaulted by the Los Angeles police department when he was shot in the right shoulder with a rubber bullet at close range, while filming the (A Day Without a Mexican Immigration Protest). As he attempted to raise from the ground he was then hit in the back several times with batons. This was an obvious attempt by Chief Bratton to sensor the independent media from reporting the true events of that day.
